The Program Configurations feature is an important part of the Accreditation process. It allows a portal administrator to determine whether accreditations under particular programs are:
These settings have a significant impact on how accreditations work once the requirements are met or when requirements change. These settings are made at the Program level and will only appear for programs that have accreditations associated with them.
Enabling this setting allows ANY accreditation achievement under the selected program to be revoked if the learner no longer meets the requirements. And example would be if a new course is added to the requirement but has not been completed or if a transcript for a requirement has expired, indicating the student must complete the missing requirement in order to regain the achievement.
This section lists all the position groups associated with accreditations under the program. When Auto-Calc is enabled, as students complete accreditation requirements, the achievement is awarded automatically. If the setting is not enabled, the students can complete the requirements, but no achievement is granted until the portal administrator performs a Manual Calculation.
To update Program Configurations:
The first image indicates that the Program has never been configured or that changes have occurred that are unsaved.
The image below displays for a fully saved and previously configured Program.
B. Allow End Dating – Enable to allow achieved accreditations to be revoked if the learner no longer meets the requirements for maintaining the achievement. Disable if you want people who have earned the accreditation to maintain their achievement regardless of requirement changes that occur in the future.
C. Auto-Calc Flag – Check the box for any position group for which auto-calculation of achievement should be enabled.
