Recommended Image Sizes

  • General images used on HTML pages can be any size or shape appropriate for the page and the desired design.
  • Catalog Images are the images used on Course, Resource, or Learning path tiles on pages for which tiles are a display option.
Images will fit a space approximately 194 px by 112 px. To work on both the tiles and the slide-in page, they must use an aspect ratio of 1.73:1. The size can be larger than the pixel dimensions noted if the aspect ratio is the same. A larger high resolution image will size to fit correctly if the 1.73:1 AR is used. An example of that aspect ratio is 1280 px x 739 px. File type JPG is recommended.
  • User Images are associated with user accounts and if enabled, will show on the user’s My Learning page.
Images must be under 10 MB in size and will be fit into a 100 px by 100 px square. A 1:1 square aspect ratio is recommended.
  • Header Logos  appear on the left side of the LMS Header.
Images have a maximum height of 45 px and maximum width of 300 px. If one dimension is bigger than the limit, it will scale without stretching. If both dimensions are smaller than the limit, it will not scale and will just use the file values.
  • Certificate of Completion Logos are managed on display on certificates users can download or print after successfully completing a course or an accreditation. This is only for certificates where the logo is added by the portal administrator on the Portal Information page.
For best results use .JPG images with dimensions approximating 50 pixels in height and 400 pixels in width. If your organization engages LatitudeLearning to fully customize your certificate, there are more options available for the layout and design, therefore greater flexibility in logo size.
