Often links to courses that are embedded in some LMS email messages do not work on the “receiving” end because the URL for the course doesn’t function properly if the customer has a custom URL in place or if users log in via an Single Sign On (SSO) page.
A variable exists on multiple course-related messages that allows the email to pull in the full Course Deep Link relevant to that particular portal. It is [CourseDeepLink] and is available on messages that also show the [CourseName] and [Course Description] variables, as noted in the appendix of the Manage Messages support page. Use [CourseDeepLink] if users are having difficulty opening courses from the provided email link.
This deep link is also available to portal administrator for use in other areas. They can navigate to a course’s Course Details page and grab the URL from the Deep Link URL field.
